Testimonials

Dr. Constantinou recently presented on the letters of Paul for the Catholic Bible  Institute (CBI), a long-time bible study program for lay Catholic leaders in Los Angeles.  In short, she was fantastic: she was very well prepared and very scholarly.  Above all, she is a very dynamic, engaging teacher.  Her passion for the Word of God is infectious, and her interpretation of the Bible is faithful to the Tradition of the Church, both its eastern and western expressions.  I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I look forward to inviting her to CBI again.

Dr. Eugenia Constantinou gave a class on the Book of Revelation at our Church. We had a wonderful turnout; some of the attendees came because of the interest that the Book of Revelation elicits while others came because it was an opportunity to learn from Dr. Constantinou. There were people in attendance from parishes throughout southern California as well as non-orthodox who heard about the event through word of mouth; we were also blessed to have in attendance visiting clergy. The response was unanimously positive, and time flew by! Arguably the most difficult book of the New Testament to teach from, Dr. Constantinou explained the vision that the LORD gave to Saint John the Theologian in such a way that everyone was able to understand and learn about the history and symbolism that is so unique to this New Testament book. Dr. Constantinou maintained everyone’s interest throughout the entire class.

Dear Jeannie,

On behalf of the volunteers and guests of Women Together at St. Paul's, I want to thank you for your program last Thursday, October 6th. Your lecture entitled “Jewish Christianity and Christian Judaism” provided an in-depth description of Jewish culture and law at the time of Jesus. Learning about the significance of ‘the law’ in Jewish culture at the time helped us understand the reaction of some Jews to the radical teachings and miracles of Jesus.…. As you saw, our meeting room was packed! Most guests completed program evaluations. Of the completed evaluations, the overwhelming majority rated your presentation as ‘Excellent.’ Some put exclamation marks !!! or plus signs +++ after the word ‘Excellent.’ When asked what their favorite part of the evening was, most said, “the speaker” or “the lecture.” Some of the many positive comments were, “Fantastic lecture! One of the best we’ve had!” “It was packed from the first word to the last.” “Great story-teller!” “Bring Jeannie back again.” “New insights into Judaism.” Thank you again, Jeannie, for spending the evening with us and for providing this extraordinary program!
